Scott joined our church as full time pastor in Jan. 2011. He is married to Lisa and they have three boys, Caleb, Casey and Colton. He received his Masters from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and his Doctorate from Baptist Theological Seminary in Richmond, Va.

Janet Roller, Music Director
Janet joined our staff in September 2009, she is a accomplished singer and musician. She is married to Matt, and they have two children, Sam, and Darby.
Lisa Courtney, Interim Minister of Youth & Children
Lisa Courtney is currently serving as interim youth and children’s minister at MVBC. She is a graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a MA in Christian Education/Family Ministry and has a BA from Gardner Webb University in Christian Education. She is a native of Rutherford county and has been serving in youth and children’s ministry in churches in Kentucky and North Carolina for the past twenty years. She is married to Dr. Scott Courtney and has three sons, Caleb, Casey and Colton.
